FAQ
Here are the questions owners ask most before starting training
Do You Offer Dog Training in Chinese (Mandarin)?
Yes. I'm fully bilingual and train in both English and Mandarin, so Chinese-speaking owners in NYC and New Jersey can communicate naturally and understand every step.
What Areas Do You Serve?
I serve all five boroughs of NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey. I'm based in Woodside, Queens (near the 7 / E / F / R / M trains) and offer in-home training, board & train, and day training.
Do You Work With Aggressive Dogs?
Yes. Many of the dogs who come to me have aggression, resource guarding, lunging, chasing, or serious reactivity. My focus isn't on suppressing the behavior, but on finding the reason behind it, building a sense of safety, and teaching you how to handle real-life situations. Every dog is different, so we start with a call to understand yours.
What training approach do you use?
I mainly use rewards (treats, toys, praise) to build the behaviors we want, alongside clear, consistent rules and boundaries. The goal isn't for your dog to fear you, but to learn which behaviors work and which don't. I want to help your dog build calm, confidence, and steadiness, not just obedience.
How Much Does Training Cost?
Pricing depends on your dog's needs and where you live, since location affects travel time, so I give a custom quote. Reach out and tell me about your dog.
Do You Offer Online or Virtual Training?
Not at the moment, my training is hands-on and in person. But you're always welcome to reach out with questions, and I'll help however I can.
Do You Offer Regular Boarding or Daycare Without Training?
Not for new clients. My board & train and day training are training-focused, not standard boarding or daycare. Once your dog has been through one of my programs, you're welcome to book boarding or daycare afterward.
My dog has already seen another trainer. Can you still help?
Yes. Many of the families who come to me have already taken classes, watched videos, or even worked with another trainer. Usually it's not that the owner isn't trying, it's that they don't know how to fit training into daily life. I'll help you find where things get stuck and build a plan that fits you and your dog.
How long until I see progress?
Every dog and every family is different. Some issues show clear change within a few weeks, others take a few months of practice. My goal isn't fast obedience, it's change that lasts.
